Launch of Expo Transporte & Logística Guadalajara 2020

 
  • Hannover Fairs today announced the launch of Expo Transporte y Logística Guadalajara 2020, the largest goods transportation and logistics tradeshow in West Mexico
  • The event will take place on November 18-20 at Expo Guadalajara
  • Some 8,000 specialized buyers are expected to visit the expo’s 16,000 square meters

GDL, Jalisco, February 20, 2020. The launch of Expo Transporte y Logística Guadalajara was announced this morning by Alejandro Guzmán, General Strategic Coordinator of Economic Growth and Development for the Government of Jalisco, Guillermo Cervantes Fernández, President of Expo Guadalajara, and Bernd Rohde, CEO of Hannover Fairs México. This, the first specialized goods transportation and logistics tradeshow to be held in West Mexico, will take place on November 18-20 at Expo Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco.

According to Guzmán, Jalisco was chosen to host the event due to “the strength of this sector and its importance to the state, making this the best choice for the launch. Jalisco is a logistical hub connecting most of the country. The transportation sector employs more than 82,000 people state-wide, while the transportation equipment manufacturing industry has registered growth close to 7% in the last year and is currently valued at over 66 billion pesos, positioning it as the third-most-important manufacturing industry in Jalisco.”

By the same token, Expo Guadalajara is the best choice of venue for the event, because, according to Guillermo Cervantes, it is the leading exhibition facility in Latin America. Equipped to handle large-format tradeshows like Expo Transporte y Logística Guadalajara, which is to be an annual occurrence, it is no coincidence that seven out of every ten large-scale events choose Expo Guadalajara and that it receives more than 2.5 million visitors a year.

As regards the organizers, “Deutsche Messe has experience in the coordination and operation of trade fairs in this sector in Europe (IAA Commercial Vehicles, which is the industry’s leading event worldwide), North America (NACV, Truck World), Asia (CCVS and WHMS) and Oceania (Australian Truck Exhibition, set to be the largest in the region). Via its subsidiary Hannover Fairs México, it will now be launching Expo Transporte y Logística Guadalajara at Expo Guadalajara,” said Bernd Rohde, adding that this “highly efficient prospecting, sales, dissemination and networking tool will indubitably become not just the first of its kind in the region, but a benchmark in the country.”

“Expo Transporte y Logística Guadalajara” he said, “is a business forum that offers suppliers of products and services related to the transportation of goods and passengers and logistics the chance to network and forge business ties with thousands of potential buyers from the Bajío region, West and Central Mexico, which is the zone with the highest economic growth and greatest industrial diversity in the country.”

“It is a platform designed to showcase all manner of services and products in the sector, from buses, trucks, tractor-trailers, motors and chassis to refrigerated containers and logistics and intralogistics services.”

According to Rohde, the exhibition will address cutting-edge themes, such as the applications of Industry 4.0 to the sector, sustainable mobility, and maintenance and repair services, in addition to promoting round tables on the creation of a specialized regional cluster in cooperation with the triple helix formed by industry, the public and academic sectors.

This, he said, is an event “by transportation companies for transportation companies”, which is expected to draw some 8,000 industry professionals and that will feature 200 specialized exhibitors spread over 16,000 square meters of exhibition space.
